“Dr Ahmed Rafea,  Professor at the CSCE Department was invited  to give a talk on “Managing agriculture knowledge: role of information and communication technology” , in the Worshop on  Information and Communication Technologies – Ways to Mobilize and Transform Agricultural Science for Development organized by Consultative Group on International Agriculutral Research Science Forum in Wageningen, the Netherland on June 16 and 17, 2009.  The objective of this workshop  was  to deliberate on how the processes by which knowledge, information and data are generated and shared, are being transformed and reinvented.and that these transformations provide massive opportunities for the entire Agricultural Research for Development (ARD) community to truly mobilize and apply global scientific knowledge, in ways that are hardly yet appreciated.” 

Joan Petit, Instruction and Reference Librarian, presented “Library Instruction 2.0″ at the Metrolina Library Association 4th Annual Information Literacy Conference on June 18 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
