Despite successful efforts to establish American football teams in Cairo universities and clubs, athletes face the difficult task of bringing the sport into the AUC community.
Students attempting to start an AUC American football team have been met with rejection from the Department of Athletics due to the program's financial constraints. Charles ‘Chuck' Gordan, the director of the athletics department, said it would be impossible to manage and fund the team at the time.
If you're a pastry and croissant aficionado, the soon-to-open The Bakery Shop (TBS) has a treat in store for you.
Replacing the Beans, Pies, and Cookies outlet, which closed all three branches - two in Heliopolis and one at AUC - TBS will occupy the vacant space located at the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSS) building.
TBS is one of the several umbrella outlets of Delicious Inc. which supplies AUC's foods and beverages.
Other outlets include: Cilantro, Mega Bites, and Ben's Cookies.
