AUC/Israeli campus controversy

Controversial debates were taking place on AUC campus regarding the rumors that AUC was intending to hire Israeli faculty. The issue arose after Israeli scholars were invited to AUC as members of a conference that was held on campus last summer. A forum was then held, on Oct.17, to discuss whether to allow Israeli scholars to visit AUC. Although no decision was taken yet, rumors circulated around campus that AUC will be hiring Israeli faculty.

I don’t think that it’s wise to have Israeli scholars in AUC.
In the recent period, Israel has taken extreme measures against Palestinians.
If Israel wants a normal relation with Egypt, it has first to correct diplomatic and political relations/behaviors with Arab countries including Egypt.
