Hani Henry, Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Egyptology (SAPE) gave an invited lecture on July 4 at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. The lecture was entitled “Arab Families: Ethical Concepts and Values.”

Hani Henry, Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Egyptology (SAPE) has published an article entitled “African Refugees in Egypt: Trauma, Loss, and Cultural Adjustment,” Death Studies, Vol. 36, Issue 7, pp. 583-604. Hani Henry, Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Egyptology (SAPE), gave a paper entitled “The Empathic Response of Mubarak Supporters Towards their Leader: A Cultural Perspective” at the 41st Annual Meeting of the Society for Cross Cultural Research, currently being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The paper was a part of a panel titled:
Empathy & Spirituality: Selected Papers.

Hani Henry, Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, and Egyptology (SAPE), gave an invited presentation at The First Regional Conference of the Arab Center for Research and Training on Mental Health, sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Medical school at the American University of Beirut. The conference was held in Beirut between June 20 and June 21.  My presentation was entitled: "Culture linked symptoms and disorders: How can they be better classified and incorporated in field studies?" Hani was the only psychologist selected to represent Egypt for this event.
